Base camp

KOHINA constructed a base camp at Kymijoki, Finland

The Kymijoki base camp project started in 2008. The base camp serves all paddlers interested in whitewater paddling or river running. The camp site is situated in the Pernoonkoski area, which is the best place for whitewater paddling in Southern Finland.

The base camp consists of a club room, which can be used for courses, meetings, relaxation and accommodation, as well as a kitchen, sauna, toilet and storage for kayaks. There is also a large, partially covered terrace area with an open-air fireplace.

The use of the base camp is free for the members of KOHINA. Other paddling clubs can also negotiate access rights to the base camp.
